Historic Kona Walking Tour   
Experience Kailua's historic and colorful past. Take a 45 minute walking tour, at a leisurely pace, through one of the most historic sites in the state.  Visit King Kamehameha's last seat of government, Ahuena Heiau - a restored temple first built in the 1500s, the first Christian church in the Sandwich Islands, built in 1837 and Hulihe`e Palace, the summer palace of Hawaiian royalty.  Tours depart from the King Kamehameha Hotel lobby. 

Kona Coffee Working Historic Farm Tour
The 1-hour Living History Tour takes you through the everyday life of a Japanese family on the historic Uchida Coffee Farm during the 1900s. Interact with costumed interpreters as they go about life on a coffee farm. The tour is offered Monday through Friday, on the hour from 9am to 1pm.  Meet at the Kona Historical Society office, 81-6551 Mamalahoa Hwy.

Circle Island Land Tour     
Experience the wonders and excitement of the Big Island of Hawaii with Polynesian Adventure Tours. We'll take you from coffee country through lush tropical rain forests to the rim of awesome Kilauea caldera. You'll enjoy panoramic views in unmatched comfort from our spacious, deluxe "big window" premier Mini Coaches. Return by way of Parker Ranch Lands and the Hamakua Coast. Hualalai Volcano Adventure    
Treat the family to one of the most remarkable sights in the world: the inner-workings of a volcano.  You’ll visit a hidden world of volcanic majesty at 6,000 feet, high above Kailua-Kona, in the privately owned lands of Kaupulehu. You’ll see desert coastal lava lands quickly fading away to dense tropical rainforest.  The change continues as we leave the pavement for a short, yet rugged four-wheel drive to the trailhead.  Once on site, amidst the cool mountain air, your Interpretive Naturalist will lead you on a discovery of deep craters, lava tubes, Ohia forest and magnificent views. Not recommended for children under seven. Short walk of two miles over uneven rocky terrain and short climbs. Snacks, beverages and day packs included.  Five hour tour begins at Hawaii Forest and Trail Headquarters, 20 minutes from hotel.  Tours offered Daily.

Kilauea Volcano Hiking Adventure   
The geologic creation of the Hawaiian island chain, a timeless battle between the elemental forces of fire and water, is one of the world’s greatest natural history stories. There’s not a better place on earth to witness and understand the awesome nature of volcanoes than at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. There is no better way to explore the park than in the company of one of our Interpretive Naturalists. We’ll show you the “must see” places within the Park while you learn about their geological and historic significance. Join us on a journey that Frommer’s Guide to Hawaii says “. . . Valley Landing Helicopter Excursion
Fly over an active volcano and escape to your own private paradise, inaccessible by land. Volcano and Waterfall Helicopter Tour  
Witness first hand the awesome power of Kilauea Volcano as you travel to the latest activity.  Experience the volcanic rebirth of the Island as well as waterfalls of the Wailuku River. Daily from Hilo Airport.  A 50-minute tour.  

Surf Lessons    
Group, private, or tandem lessons available for either a one-hour or two-hour session.  All lessons include instruction, safety orientation, soft board, leash, footwear and rash guard. Complimentary resort shuttle stops at Kahalu’u Beach Park.

Jet Ski    
Enjoy the sheer excitement of jet-skiing the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean. Great fun for the entire family.  One to three riders per machine.  Life Vests provided.   Some restrictions apply.  Half hour pricing and rider only option available.

Parasail   
Parasailor’s are on the boat for approximately one hour, with a maximum of six passengers. Participants are winched on and off the boats hydraulically for safe and dry landings. There is no age requirement. Participants must weight at least 130 pounds to fly alone and maximum weight limit is 350 pounds for single or tandem.  Early Bird Specials available.  Check-in: UFO Office Kailua Pier in downtown Kona.
 
SCUBA Dives:
Guided boat dives, small group with over 30 great sites to choose from.  Includes mask, snorkel, fins, tank, weights, juice, water, and snacks.  Departs Keauhou Bay Pier Daily. 

Morning Snorkel Cruise
See the Historic Kona Coast by sea. Snorkel in pristine waters along a vibrant reef. All snorkel gear and floats provided.  Enjoy a fantastic deli lunch. Departs from the Keauhou Bay Pier Daily.  Prices vary.

Morning Rafting Adventure  
Explore the historic Kona coast's sea caves and lava tubes in a high speed rigid hull inflatable raft. Your journey takes you to Honaunau Bay at the Place of Refuge. Snorkel the premier marine sanctuary viewing many species of fish, eels, turtles and coral. Enjoy whale watching and spinner dolphins in season. Includes snorkel gear, instruction and snacks. Afternoon adventures also available. Depart from Keauhou Bay Pier.  Prices vary depending on availability of raft company. Afternoon whale watches are available during whale season. (December - March)

Early Riser Dolphin Quest Kayak Tour
Includes a 2 hour introduction to paddling, including snorkeling. Look for dolphins. Fun for the whole family.    

Keauhou Sea Cave Kayak Tour 
Includes 3 ½ hour guided kayak tour with cliff jumping, snorkeling, snacks and snorkel gear. Departs from Keauhou Bay.  Monday through Saturday. 

Submarine Adventure 
Allow Atlantis Submarines to show you the other 96% of Kona you can’t see any other way. Treat yourself to Kona’s most beautiful and captivating scenery, habitats, and isolated treasures. An unforgettable 35-minute journey aboard an Atlantis 48-passenger submarine, as featured in National Geographic television specials, where guests explore a 25-acre natural coral reef and its marine inhabitants! Enjoy the view in air-conditioned comfort and safety.  Entire tour including boat shuttle to submarine 90 minutes.  Must be at least 3 ft. tall to participate.

Deep Sea Fishing Expedition 
The Big Island is one of the best deep sea fishing locations in the world. Hawai‘ian water fish include Marlin, Ahi (Yellow Fin Tuna), Ono (Wahoo), Mahimahi and Aku (Bonito). Experienced captains share their knowledge of the local waters for an exciting day of sport fishing! There are many charter companies available. Prices vary, as do boat size and amenities.  Boats are six-passenger maximums and include all fishing bait and gear. Shares may be available.  Boats depart from Honokohau Harbor.  No bananas.  Bring your own food and beverage.
 
Kamaha'o Luau Dinner & Show
No trip to Hawaii is complete without a luau.   Enjoy Island performers honoring the "Wondrous Myths of Hawaii" and its culture and history in a unique and often thrilling way while enjoying a sumptuous Hawaiian culinary experience. This spectacular setting at our Hawaii Lawn is perfect for an evening that culminates with a grand finale fire-knife performance. A memorable family experience.  Monday evenings.

Mauna Kea Summit Tour 
The summit of Mauna Kea is renowned as the world’s greatest astronomical observing site. It is also one of Hawaii’s most sacred cultural sites. Learn about the remarkable changes our island has experienced. Our dinner stop at a historic ranch outpost features a hot picnic dinner. After dinner, we make our way to the top for a sensational sunset. Stand in awe at the top of the world’s tallest volcano amidst the largest collection of telescopes and some of the most dramatic scenery.  And then, at a lower level, we pause awhile to enjoy a world class star-gazing show.  An experience you’ll never forget.  Daily.

Manta Snorkel Experience 
Enjoy an afternoon sail before anchoring to view a spectacular sunset and a night of snorkeling with manta rays. Enjoy swimming with and watching the mantas feed in this one of a kind experience you and your family will not want to miss. Departs from the Keauhou Bay Pier.  Seasonal.

For the scuba diver, a one tank dive is offered with a dive light and snacks. Check in at Keauhou Bay. Seasonal.

Evening on the Reef    
Celebrate a beautiful Kona sunset sailing in style with a full course buffet and complimentary Mai Tais.  “Must do” for romantics, a perfect way to toast your day in paradise.   Check-in at the Kailua Pier for a  2hr cruise with live local entertainment.  View dolphins, manta rays, turtles, and a variety of tropical fish and marine life. 

Evening at Kahua Ranch   
Join us for an evening on the historic 8,500 acre working ranch, which is located 3,200’ above sea level in the Kohala Mountains. The Kahua Ranch provides a unique and exciting experience full of entertainment, fun and storytelling around the campfire. The tour includes a fully narrated trip along Highway 19 climbing to the town of Waimea, then Highway 250 through the rolling hills and breathtaking scenery of the Kohala Mountains. History comes alive as we share stories of the area and the arrival of Paniolos. The evening includes an open bar consisting of local Kona beer, wine, soft drinks, a ranch barbeque and Paniolo entertainment including singing, horse-shoe throwing, roping, darts and a marshmallow roast.
